Unless I'm missing something....a way to call a event/function every n second/millisecond etc

A TimedActionComponent already exists, but there is no ready-made Timer menu yet to create an object for this functionality via the editor.

You can also use onUpdate for most “every N seconds” work. It runs once per frame with the real frame delta (Engine::getDeltatime()), and it already respects pause and the max-delta cap. Accumulate time and fire when the interval elapses:

void MyScript::onUpdate() {
    accumulator += Engine::getDeltatime();
    while (accumulator >= interval) {
        accumulator -= interval;
        // call event / function
    }
}

Another option is to use onFixedUpdate when the tick should be deterministic: Physics, networking, or anything that must not drift with FPS. It runs at Engine::getUpdateTime() (default 1/60s), zero or more times per frame.

I have no plan to bring Boost to this engine. What I could do is to create something like a very lightweight type of Timer object that is directly linked to the engine.
