I use the dock replacement Sidebar (v 1.6.12) - https://sidebarapp.net/
I want to also use the focus tool Blurred (v1.2.0) - https://github.com/dwarvesf/blurred
When I launch Blurred, the sidebar disappears.
When I quit Blurred the sidebar reappears.
I have no idea which one is misbehaving (or if what they do is inherently incompatible), so I'm filing this bug report to both.
