board_info files for DE0_NANO_SOC / ATLAS_SOC_GHRD differ

Could you please explain why these two files are different? The hardware is identical.

Are you creating these files by hand or are they auto-generated by some tool?

by hand, but i am in the process of updating the design not to use them at
all. i have your email, I can send you the updates. They are not ready
for release, and are still a work in progress though.

Would you be so kind as to elaborate on your statement "updating the design not to use them at all." Which design. the GHRD or the generic DE0_NANO_SOC? And the method, do you mean that you're moving away from dtsi and dynamic overlays and if so what method are you considering?

The eth0 is not working when using the board_info_ATLAS_SOC_GHRD.xml
Do have the design which do not use the .xml's at all ?
Which has the eth0 working on atlas board ?
I have tried the atlas_linux_ghrd.tgz.gz from rocketboards , the leds are working, but in ifconfig I get only lo and no eth0, I can do ping 127.0.0.0 but it state as if sioiffaddr is not found.
Is the atlas_linux_ghrd.tgz.gz does not have the eth0 configured ?
