The default order of long read posts in the admin — before menu orders are applied — doesn't seem to match the default order in the front-end. This is because the admin listing falls back to ordering by post title, whereas the front-end order maybe falls back to date order? The divergence can be found in the sidebar chapter navigation and the next/previous navigation.
This could cause confusion for editors, because they sometimes end up having to apply menu orders even though it already looks like things are in the correct order.
