Would be great if you could provide PHP 8.0 compatibility.

Does this require more than just updating composer.json?

Please let me know in case you needed/appreciated support.

You're right, changing:
"require": { "php": "^7.0|^8.0", "ext-json": "*" }
works with all the tests passing.
Waiting for the author to apply change.
