Hi everyone,
I made some contributions to megaclisas-status a few years back ([1]), but I'm now working on a newer version ([2]) which has a few enhancements.

Please feel free to test to open issues if something is not right. Unfortunately, I only have access to a few h/w configurations in my home lab, so there is still a lot of code that I cannot test (CacheCade, for example).

• Dell T640 with H740P (both megacli and perccli work).
• Dell T640 with H750P (only perccli works because the HBA is quite recent).

I tested some "old" hardware without battery, and with megacli only:

• LSI MegaRAID SAS 9260-8i : OK
• LSI MegaRAID SAS 2108 (Fujitsu D2616) : OK

But it introduce a big gap in the output in "Drive Model" column, between "Serial Number + Device Model" and "Firmware Version", for example:

I noticed the megaclisas-statusd service (provided in megaclisas-status deb package) is sending MegaRAID raid status change emails.
It use -notemp to disable temperature reporting. But this argument is not working: The Temp column is still displayed.
And so every temperature change is reported by megaclisas-statusd service.

Another test with other hardware: PERC H730P Mini and PERC H830 Adapter, both with battery.

I check the diff between previous megaclisas-status and 2.16 version, and there is some issues.

First, the script no longer sees the battery.

And disks display has changed:

• Hotspare disks are displayed with the other disks (Disk information), no longer under Unconfigured Disk information. In a way, that is logical because they are indeed configured. But no sure if it's better to see them with array disks when there is a lot of disks.
• Disk information is now sorted by Slot ID. I think ID sorting has a better readability : in my example the first raid array with two 278.8 Gb disks are "lost" in the disk list, but it's Controller 0 and first array, typically containing the system.

You're right, something got broken. The new version still shows the Baterry on my systems, though.
As for the hotspare disks, I think they should be left under unconfigured disks because they are not visible from the OS and don't have a LUN number until they get used.

Finally, I wrote a script to facilitate testing. I added some outputs with debug.

But I didn't check the output diffs for now.
