Describe the bug
Attempting to launch a game with mods through r2modman results in the game launching vanilla. If the profile's files are placed in the game root, the game launches with mods.
Tested games where this occurs: GTFO & R.E.P.O. only so far. I only have 4 games I use with mods and many I don't have profiles for yet.
I AM RUNNING THE FLATPAK VERSION ON LINUX IF THAT HELPS. Though this also may have been an issue on the AppImage version as well.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Install game and r2modman
- Create a profile and download mods
- Attempt to launch game with mods
- The game launches fine, but no mods are active
- To launch with mods, move the profile files to the game root
Expected behavior
For the game to launch with mods through r2modman.
Additional context
So this isn't a major issue as I can still use mods with all my games should I wish, however the usage of things like Thunderstore and r2modman to create unique profiles separate from the game (which also allows you to run the game vanilla) is incredibly useful to someone like me who uses several different profiles per game and often runs vanilla for multiplayer too (e.g. GTFO). I am still able to manually manage what mods I want at a time by just copying the mod files to the game and removing them for vanilla play, but it's more tedious and I'd love to solve this problem.
I do have the launch options set as r2modman requests by the way - WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp,version=n,b" "/home/aurelia/.var/app/io.github.ebkr.r2modman/config/r2modmanPlus-local/REPO/web_start_wrapper.sh" %command% - though I believe I was told maybe by ebkr that this is not needed and might create issues using it? I don't know, it was from an old issue I opened.
Oh, and for some reason late-night me decided to make a subreddit for this app so that exists now, too... I don't know if I'm going to regret that decision or not yet :')
