Audit-confirmed (rc2 vm2-optimizer/vm2-veteran). #742 fires the options block only when next_class_level == slvl; a character already past the choice level with subclass unset (L5→L6 wizard) gets free-text. Fix in flight: predicate >= slvl when unset. Follow-up noted: feat/ASI picker absent at ASI levels (4/8/12/16/19). Ref #624 #742.
