Port to Visual Studio Code please

Well, it appears that Microsoft is backing out of Azure Data Studio by next year, so would be GREAT to have this ported to Visual Studio Code. :-)

I have successfully installed it in Visual Studio Code, but don't seem have any means of firing it off. "Inspect Data" doesn't show up in the right-click menu of SQL Server connections or anything so.... Please? :-)

Hi @Tix2garr, thank you for the interest in this extension. I know, ADS will be retired and I have to admit that I really like ADS, but there are good reasons for this move. Anyway I am used to SqlDataInspector tool and I will find a way for let it running in VSCode. Let's see what happen. But I am not sure it will happen soon.

Just have to love Microsoft... "Here, we'll make something specific for databases so that it can do that better!"

We get used to it and into it and....

"We're getting rid of that because you can do it all in Visual Studio Code, so why have a separate app?"
