Integration struggles to retrieve data consistently after update

Since the new update (only applied controls to one of my inverters, see #6) the inverter with controls applied has had trouble routinely getting data back and is displaying 0's for values (see screenshot)

I believe previously when data could not be retrieved the last value was retained, thus this may not be a new issue with the data retrieval, but the presentation afterwards.

seeing the same issue since enabling control API. Seeing this for multiple sensors in Solis Home Assistant integration AND also the Solis iOS App.

Hi, yes I eventually got the controls to appear and see the same issue as you.
In fact I went to the SolisCloud portal and saw this once the controls were activated...

It could be due to the increased API calls once the controls are activated as the integration is continually reporting the current settings from Solis back to HA. Just a thought. I've had to disable the controls for now, everything else is working as before.

I have the same issue. With controls enabled, the solis cloud values keep dropping out as per screenshot from @Derham1.

I have seen the same behaviour when I set the charge / discharge times manually in the app. This suggests it's not an issue with the controls added to this integration but an issue with calls to the APIs that get the values for the controls.

Would it be possible to have a configurable poll interval for the control values only?
For example could we configure it to poll for the control values once per day or when the button is pushed to set values but get all sensor values as normal?

Yes, I've seen the single spike in the solis app as well when controlling via the app. I would like to see a 'read values' button to perform a single read when required. I looked at the code but can't see where the polling happens.
I do like the new controls options so respect to the developer :-)
