[macOS] Fast scroll in mouse doesn't work on any mouse

Bug Description

Hi,

I found a weird behavior with fast scrolling on the map using a mouse. Normally, the player can toggle fast scroll on the map using the right mouse button.

Using an old mouse with a USB 2.0 cable. I was able to toggle the fast scroll using the button

However, using a Bluetooth mouse Logitech MX master, using both direct Bluetooth connection and a Bluetooth USB dongle. I am unable to toggle fast scroll.

I wonder if someone else is having a similar behavior?

Thanks for the additional context from discussion #133.

Current understanding:

• On M5 + macOS 26.4.1, RMB fast scroll is not working.
• Touchpad also did not work for this action.
• Wired mouse result is still pending confirmation.

To narrow this down, could you please confirm this quick matrix?

1. Wired USB mouse: works / does not work
2. Bluetooth direct: works / does not work
3. Bluetooth via dongle: works / does not work

Also please share:

• macOS Secondary Click settings (mouse and trackpad)
• whether RMB works for other in-game actions (for example cancel/build context), or if only fast scroll is affected
• exact GeneralsX build/commit tested

This will help determine whether this is a device/input mapping issue, a macOS settings interaction, or a game-side RMB-scroll path issue.

RMB works fine beside scrolling, i can cancel selection etc.. but it doesn't fast scrol for some reason.

Last version i tried was [GeneralsX Beta 7]

Hey @Russttty I’ve added additional input tracing to help isolate where the RMB fast-scroll path is failing on macOS.

Could you please test the latest artifact from this run and send back the logs?

What we need:

1. Download the macOS artifact from the Artifacts section.
2. Extract it and launch the test build.
3. Reproduce the RMB fast-scroll issue with the same setup that fails for you.
4. Send us the log lines containing [GX136_RMB].

If collecting logs is inconvenient, let me know and I’ll reply with very short step-by-step instructions for macOS.
