Description
Description:
I am running a FEBio simulation involving a model composed of a matrix and an inclusion. The inclusion region has mapped fiber directions (using assignment). In my input files, these mappings are correctly specified for the inclusion.
When running the case with general mapped fibers, the results do not match between my local PC and HPC cluster. It appears that the fiber orientations are either not being read or applied correctly in the HPC environment, since I print the fiber direction logout and it is the same for every element and direction.
However, when I switch the fiber definition to cylindrical (using type="cylindrical"), both the local PC and HPC jobs produce matching results. This suggests there is some issue specifically with the reading or interpretation of mapped fiber assignments.
Version:
4.10
Steps To Reproduce:
Use the attached input file (see below) in FEBio.
Run on both a PC and an HPC cluster.
Compare the results for models with mapped fiber assignments.
Change the fiber type in the input file (for the inclusion) to cylindrical and rerun.
Note that results match with cylindrical, but not with mapped fibers.
