The crawl position of this mod lifts the player camera by about 4 pixels and that prevents placing directional blocks upside down when very close to them, which is perfectly possible in vanilla. This is a particular issue when placing pistons, and even more so when placing pistons via blockstate bugging them with a machine for bedrock breaking. It's literally impossible to place a piston upside down in the correct place, as the player camera can't point high enough on the 1st block section of a piston, so it places sideways facing the player.
I don't see a reason why crawling should be any different with a mod vs vanilla, it'd make more sense if the camera position was preserved with the mod.
