- @fmof Do you want to try to identify a couple of good textbook or tutorial treaments, for people who just want to read something convenitional?
- @fmof Would you be willing to give snippets showing how to replicate something like lesson 1 or lesson 3 in the suggested toolkits?

One thought: perhaps linking to someone's pseudocode or simple code would help some students. YASMET is an option because it's so short, but it does iterative scaling rather than gradient ascent.
