Volt vs Atac — comparison list requested。

I find this tool looks better than atac. However, I’m not clear about the differences. Since I use atac in Zed, it would be helpful to have a list comparing features/usage between atac and this tool.

So Volt has a potential to grow rapidly beyond the current features but I don't get the time to update the new releases.

However the core functionality of Volt revolves around the notion of how much time you're actually giving to your primary task.

1. For me, one big of a hassle was to setup/write my own endpoints by hand. It was time consuming even if I try to copy-paste from codebase to any other api client. Volt automatically discovers routes from your opened codebase and simply lets you click r after selecting the endpoint form the tui.

2. Because I take my cpu/memory usage crucial, I have to keep Volt lightweight and without any AI slop. That might be the reason it looks simple and plain.

3. One more thing is that I spend most of my time working inside containers and clusters, so I implemented a ssh feature so that I do not have to install Volt inside my container/cluster but access and execute routes present in those containers through volt ssh. So Volt becomes an API Orchestration Tool rather than just API Client.

4. The response time is pretty fast because all the linting and pretty-print features are imposed after the response is given to the user. So you'll see the output first, then it renders with indents and colours etc.

• At the end of the day, it's just a fast api tool with no extra bloated features.

-UI is personal choice because I do prefer minimalism :)
