High CPU usage and load

After reboot, the x730.sh script will take at least 12% CPU, but often a bit more. It also causes the load to be above 2 all the time.

Please come up with a better solution. This is terrible.

I changed the first while loop to this

  shutdownSignal=$(cat /sys/class/gpio/gpio$SHUTDOWN/value)
  if [ $shutdownSignal = 0 ]; then
    /bin/sleep 1
  else
    echo "X730 Shutting down", SHUTDOWN, ", halting Rpi ..."
    sudo poweroff
    exit
  fi
done'

it is using significantly less CPU now. I still don't like it and wish the script were commented better so I could modify it more. I attempted to make a Python script but it isn't working.

Also, it should be noted that this takes away the ability to hold for reboot and hold longer for shutdown.
