Review error messages

There are situations where an error occurs (for example, when the user cancels when making a request), and the error message is huge and shows the entire error. This is good for debugging but not for showing to the user.

Note: With the new deployment to reduce the number of necessary transactions, this may no longer make sense, but we should check for unhandled error messages.
