Hi there! im trying for a day to boot Solus Budgie from a live usb,after selecting one of the option my laptop instantly shut downs. My specs are: i7 6700hq,ram 16gb and gtx 950m.

Known problem. 2 Solutions.

Use an older iso from Solus like 4.7 2025.01.26 to install Solus Budgie.
The nvidia driver problem was introduced last November and was fixed sadly after the release of 4.9.
Update Solus sudo eopkg up and install the nvidia drivers with terminal. sudo eopkg nvidia-glx-driver-32bit nvidia-glx-driver-common nvidia-glx-driver-current reboot.

or with 4.9

Boot to bios settings, disable your nvidia gpu. Enable/boot with onboard/Intel® HD Graphics 530. Install the needed drivers. sudo eopkg nvidia-glx-driver-32bit nvidia-glx-driver-common nvidia-glx-driver-current. Boot back to bios setting and disable onboard, enable your nvidia gpu again.
