Embedding Godot as a library - LibGodot

Hello there,

I am wondering if there are any plans to support LibGodot, where Godot can be used as a static or shared library and embedded into another application?.

If this is not currently planned, I would be interested in doing it myself.

Right now I have the core simulation code written in Rust, and I’m using Godot primarily as a 3D renderer.
At the moment Godot is being driven from C++ which then interfaces with the Rust side. It would be a lot nicer if Godot could be embedded more directly so I wouldn’t have to rely on C++ in this setup. It is not of large importance, just a thought.

I don't plan on working on this anytime soon, but I'd welcome contributions.
