Mouse and keyboard do not work when selecting environment

After switching to the system from the image, the mouse and keyboard do not work
I tried moving them to usb 2.0 it doesn't help
Indicators on the mouse and keyboard light up but nothing works

check your BIOS settings; make sure that usb keyboard/usb mouse are enabled
i had an old pc trying to install debian, had this problem, and this fixed it
if you are using a newer computer and running into this problem, i cannot help you, but i hope somebody else can.
