Basic Auth in Fennec not working

Steps to reproduce the bug

Have a password saved with username and password and specific url.

Open Fennec / Firefox Android / Mull and access site that uses basic auth.

Click on username or password field -> Nextcloud Passwords auto fill opens up

Select saved password

Site loads forever, nothing happens.

Additional information

Obviously checked the password and username to work. Also from different desktop browser versions, where this password works. No sync error, all passwords are up to date.

I've been able to replicate the issue, but unfortunately I think this has no easy fix. It happens with other browsers, and I also tried with KeePassDX and got the same result. The problem seems to be that the system cannot keep the auth dialog open when switching to another app (in this case, the passwords app), resulting in undefined behavior (firefox loads forever, chrome submits empty credentials, ...).

I'll leave this open in case someone might be able to help, but I have no idea how this could be fixed.

Okay. Thanks for the quick reply. I didnt test it with other 3rd party password managers, but I tested the included firefox password autofill, where i added that password, and this works. But maybe thats just because it doesnt need to switch applications and has nothing to do with the way firefox autofill handles this.
