IS this Compatitble with ib_async library?

whenever i try to connect, it times out.

If it times out while trying to connect, assuming you filled in hostname and port correctly, it then means IBGA is probably configured incorrectly, or failed to run. I can help if you provide your docker-compose.yml (make sure to remove the passwords), and perhaps a screenshot of the VNC.

And you can't connect to port 4000? Can you verify through VNC that it's running ok? Can you check settings and see if the API is open at port 9000? Yes, internally, IBG inside the container should use 9000 as the API port. If not, then certain procedure isn't properly run. You might as well try delete all settings and programs and try again.
