[FR] Option to add ability to control system from HHD

Hello, i am making a feature request to add options to HHD that allow custom commands from the overlay, or more directly the ability to restart steam from HHD. I think custom commands or the ability to restart the system is a natural extension of that.

This FR comes from a bug i have been having in bazzite on my Legion Go 1 where suddenly without warning or feedback the Steam handheld UI will become completely unusable and freeze. if i'm lucky the game will still be visible and run, but all components of the UI are frozen and not able to be used with the controller. sometimes i can use the touchscreen to mess about and try to restart the system but this often doesnt work either, and if i manage to launch a game or press the restart button it will hang forever and actually stop working. today, i used a keyboard to try and figure it out (went to tty2) and turns out that steamwebhelper was running at 130% CPU and using up more and more memory until i assume the system would crash.

Every single time this situation occurs, there is one constant in that the HHD is always still usable with the controller. every time. it works perfectly fine. i can change things, i can open both the side menu and the expanded overlay, everything in HHD works. however, in this state, there is still nothing i can do to fix steam besides a hard shutdown because the steam restart button doesnt work. if HHD had a button to restart the steam handheld UI or the device, i would not have to hard shutdown my device or if it's docked leave the couch, which when playing with friends is awkward and not a good look for my equipment for me to randomly have to hard shutdown the thing because i pressed a button that steam didn't like in the menu.

I don't really know where to go to report the bug as a whole because it's most likely something to do with steam, as HHD and tty2 are accessible while steam is frozen so idk if bazzite is to blame. a blanket fix of forcing a steam UI restart from HHD would be an unfathomably amazing relief to me.

Hmmm, I think we discussed it already. The scope of this would be that your game remains as it was right? Because hhd already allows you to reboot on most devices.

the game remaining as it is would be nice but the other day one of my games crashed and left steam unresponsive while HHD was once again able to be used with the controller as normal. i've looked around the menus several times for a reboot option and never found it. is it on the beta channel?

i was thinking something similar to how decky restarts steam because it seems to leave the game intact and only restart the UI which is what inspired the idea of doing similar with HHD.

running custom commands i think as a natural extension would also allow me to run flatpak update without opening a terminal in QL or desktop mode which would be amazingly helpful for things like Sober and Emudeck.

If i'm not finding the reboot option in HHD i'd love to know where it is :)
all i see is a hibernate button which usually fails if steam is in the frozen state i mentioned.
EDIT: i found it, holding view to reboot just took longer than i thought it would! that's useful! but i think the idea expanding upon this kind of functionality stands :) also, the settings say "view" when it's actually select. the screenshot on the page is correct but that's somewhat misleading? i think that's where i went wrong

View = select. Depends on controller generation unfortunately. Select is the legacy name
