Source: https://github.com/jimsalterjrs/sanoid/pull/1068 We should take the alternate approach discussed in the PR, i.e. detect the `R` flag, and pass `-r` to `zfs hold` and `zfs release`. We already detect the `R` flag to check if there is a conflict with `--recursive`, so this should be ok.
