Hi @indresh404, now that NSoC has concluded, I wanted to flag something about how PRs are currently labeled for GSSoC scoring.
Looking through merged PRs, they're tagged with gssoc, gssoc26, level3, bug/enhancement, etc. — but per GSSoC's scoring system, points are calculated from a specific label set:
- gssoc:approved (the trigger label for scoring)
- One difficulty label: level:beginner / level:intermediate / level:advanced / level:critical
- type: labels (type:bug, type:feature, type:refactor, etc.) for bonus points
- quality: labels (quality:clean / quality:exceptional) as optional multipliers
Right now none of the merged PRs (including mine) have gssoc:approved, a level: label, or type: labels — they have level3 and plain bug/enhancement instead, which the GSSoC scoring engine won't recognize. This means none of these PRs may currently be scoring any GSSoC points for contributors.
Would it be possible to add the correct labels going forward, and retroactively to already-merged PRs where applicable? Happy to help identify appropriate level: and type: labels for my own past PRs if that's useful.
