SGX status

When I run the code I get this message

The software enable has been performed on this system and
Intel SGX will be enabled after the system is rebooted.

After I reboot and run ./sgx_enable -s, it gives me the same message. Should the status change to "Intel SGX is already enabled on this system" after reboot ?

The status should change. There might be some issue of UEFI not persisting the changed SGX configuration EFI variables. For me on Lenovo Thinkpad L460 with i5-6200U it works at least.
