How to create an admin user ?

Hello everyone, I would like to use the project because it has a modern web UI and many nice features. I have set up the whole thing in a Docker container on my Debian 12, installation worked great. However, the default account with “admin@starbucks.com” does not seem to exist there.

How can I create a new admin user here?

We currently have an endpoint available at /api/refreshdemodata that you can use to populate dummy data for two sample restaurants — Starbucks and Empire. This should be enough to get you unblocked for now.

At the moment, there isn't a dashboard for creating new admin users. However, if you're interested, feel free to open a PR to add support for onboarding admins — we'd love the contribution!

Thanks for the quick response. I had cloned OrderWorder and started it in my own Docker container. The interface was also there, but I couldn't log in with my “Starbucks” credentials. Do I have to create a user in the database first? If so, where exactly?

Once you hit this endpoint: /api/refreshDemoData,
it will automatically populate your database with both demo users — Starbucks and Empire.

You can then log in as the admin for either user by following the steps outlined in the README.
