Hello, I am wondering if there is a tutorial example that I can follow to reproduce IvoryOS. Thank you!

Hi, after installing ivoryos, I did not see any of the folders and files that are supposed to be installed.

hey! did you use pip install ivoryos? and do you mean ivoryos_data/ folder?

The data folder won't create until you call ivoryos.run(__name__). can you give a try running

import ivoryos
ivoryos.run(__name__)

Even though I got the folder, I can't see any of the files inside, including abstract_sdl.py, which was used in the tutorial video. I am wondering if I should create it myself or if it should be imported through ivoryos.

i see! the example/abstract_sdl_example/abstract_sdl.py is in the repo, you can clone the repo or download the files if you would like to replicate the tutorial video.

Hi, after I cloned the repository, when I tried running the abstract_sdl.py file, I got a no module found error.

i would recommend using an IDE to avoid the root path error. You can also try
PYTHONPATH=. python example/abstract_sdl_example/abstract_sdl.py

for the fix, If it's no "example" error, i just edited the import path. if it's no "ivoryos", you can try if pip install . can solve

Hi, I'm not sure why but even after I imported ivoryos, when I run ivoryos.run(name) in abstract_sdl.py, it says cannot find run in the module ivoryos.

Have you tried pip install . ? Either running it in Pycharm or

git clone https://github.com/ivoryzh/ivoryos
cd ivoryos
PYTHONPATH=. python example/abstract_sdl_example/abstract_sdl.py 

works for me.

Again, you don’t need to reproduce the abstract_sdl.py you can use pip install ivoryos and use any python module.
