500 When Posting Comment

I'm trying to get commentit working against a GitHub pages blog and, when trying to post a comment, I get a 500 error with a response of "please try again later". I've altered my commentitRepo / src values and received a different error (unable to find file) so it doesn't seem like the settings are an issue but I'm unable to debug what might be going on.

I should add that I'm running the site locally before publishing the update with CommentIt to github. I believe that shouldn't affect anything as I have a colleague who implemented CommentIt recently and his works when run locally as well.

Comment.io directly connects to your GitHub repository. Even if you try it in dev, it will commit the comments to GitHub repository. If the data file does not exist on GitHub, it will not work.

In this case, the files do exist in GitHub. I'm trying to test a comment on a post that was already pushed up so it should be found.
