Way to verify? Cycript example hangs

Is there a way to verify the policies have been removed, besides trying to wipe it?

Also, the example cycript to refresh the policies just hangs when you run it. ran it as root, mobile, etc.

I don’t think ExchangePolicyCleaner actually prevents the remote wipe stuff - from memory, that isn’t actually part of the policy at all, and is handled by a separate system.

The policy controls things like “device must have a passcode”, “device must have a complex passcode”, “device cannot use the camera” and other things like that.

Unfortunately on iOS 8 it is not simple to attach to “dataaccessd” using cycript, due to sandbox restrictions.

When the device receives a new policy, ExchangePolicyCleaner does log it to the system log before ignoring it - you can get the system log using a Cydia package like “syslogd to /var/log/syslog”.

If you can cause your Exchange policy to refresh itself while ExchangePolicyCleaner is installed, you’ll see it in the system log. Removing and re-adding the Exchange account will probably refresh the policy,
and enabling/disabling the account should work too.

In a future version of ExchangePolicyCleaner, I may include a button to refresh the policy, and perhaps show the policy options that are being ignored, too.
