[request] Support opening the buffer as a horizontal split

Currently, if you want to open the buffer alongside your code, you can only configure it as a vertical split. However, for better screen use it can be beneficial to also allow it to be a horizonal split. The most popular Claude Code plugin does this to great effect. It would be great to make this an option when configuring.
