How to use Duplicate function? does not come up with new record

Testing the online demo and self-hosted docker version, when going into a service or laptop and opening an existing entry and choosing Duplicate, there is no obvious action occurring. Assume a new record would be generated either in the list or immediately after choosing the Duplicate option but do not see anything occurring.
