Space in file path name prevents loading

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Attempt to load a file with a space in the file path
   2.
   3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect the file to load, but get an error message instead.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Both stable and beta versions of the os x application

Please provide any additional information below.
