Steps to compile with new versions of Visual Studio

The trickiest bit to compile is mpv as there are GDI bindings. I have several iterations lying on my hard disk, the code except mpv was last working with .net Framework 4.0 on Linux and Windows and there are also examples how to use it from F#. Give me a week to clean it up, upload and document.

Any updates on this. I am also interested. Alternatively, can this build and run without any GDI ?
