get home time line doesn't return older than the max_id results Can you please suggest

I verified "API rate limit is not being exceeded" , instead it returns same results all the time. Also seems the code to prevent duplicate entry doesnt seem to work. In Tweet.java

You aren't passing params into the resquest... the second parameter of .get needs to take the params. As it stands where are you actually using the params in the client. You are passing null. 

client.get(apiUrl, null, handler); => client.get(apiUrl, params, handler);

a classic example of stupidity. Don't ask me how many hours i wasted. Thanks the second eye definitely helps. Originally before pagination since we didn't pass any query param , this just remained unchanged.

Also what the duplicate records ? Can you please take a quick look at the Twitter.java fromJson & its usage in TweetTimeLineActivity fetchTimelineAsync method?

I was wondering if there was a ID generation scheme offered by ActiveAndroid

ActiveAndroid generates an "id" column automatically for every model which is the local id: as shown here mId You can access it with getId. The ID generation is not directly exposed to the user, it is using the auto-increment feature of the sqlite database. What you can do is to add another unique column that would hold your identifier and make queries against it, while keeping the ActiveAndroid's internal ids as explained here in the 3rd question which allows us to set a unique pseudo key.

Also how to implement composite id & have the ORM populate internal row
primary keys.

Other than the setting an index (@Column(name = "Name", index = true)) or unique as described above, there is no mechanism for composite keys or changing the id generation scheme. This is one of the limitations of ActiveAndroid and why it might not be suitable for every project.
