Server rendering QR code

Whats the issue with server rendering QR code?

The QR code library I picked is async only: soldair/node-qrcode#193

So the way to go would probably be to find a synchronous library that supports all the required features, or contribute a synchronous API to the qrcode library.

There seems to be experimental support for async SSR in Svelte now: sveltejs/svelte#16748

However, I've been struggling to update to Svelte 5, couldn't get everything to work => #6

Svelte 5 is mostly working now; I briefly tried out the experimental async SSR. While it seems to be working in principle, the qrcode module has a different implementation for non-browsers, which returns the QR code as a character string (to print on the terminal) instead of an SVG file. I did not try changing the call, maybe it could work if we pass { type: 'svg' }?

A synchronous alternative might still be preferable.
