QRemeshify | Detect manually set sharp edges

Hello there!

I'm not sure if this idea was already suggested but I'll do it anyways. I recently downloaded this addon and been experimenting/playing with it around. It's a really cool tool. However I wanted to ask, is it possible to add a feature into the addon that allows you to pick detect manually set sharp edges instead of detect autosmooth edges? It jsut for a better control in the workflow :)

Hi the addon already uses edges marked seams/sharp/material boundary/face set boundary for guiding edge flow by default, does it not work?

Hello, I apologize for the delayed response
I'll attach screens to explain it better

These are the settings:

This is the model I want to try to remesh, manually set sharp edges and applied colors:

This is the result after the remesh:

From my understanding the remesher should keep the sillouette without major differences

(The model in the screen is from the game CS2, so the topology looks like that after de-triangulation)

It does seem like the algorithm is struggling with such a complex model, though I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve by remeshing this hard surface model. If you still want to, you could try separating into smaller, simpler parts which the algorithm might have an easier time with, or try increasing the polygon density of the initial model before running the remesher.
