- Promoting Lansing Codes out into the public affordably
- Finding revenue sources for monthly expenses

An online shop would allow Lansing Codes merchandise to be sold as a way to raise money to cover monthly expenses and the merch itself could be fulfilled by local vendors and provide ways to promote Lansing Codes (via t-shirts, coffee mugs, coasters, etc.).
Describe alternatives you've considered
Promoting Lansing Codes can additionally be done with ads, but those cost money that is difficult to come by and require regular management.
Sponsors are a helpful source of money and marketing for in-person events, but now many events have moved online and we have lost those sources of funds. Finding alternative income sources such as donations would also be helpful, but lack the free marketing side-effect.

Shopify makes it pretty easy to make a shop that looks like another website using HTML and Sass. Two challenges with Shopify would be:
- How to connect a shop to local fulfillment
- Creating designs for all the merchandise
