Migrate email signups (courses + drip delivery) from Brevo to Loops

Decision direction: use loops.so for email signups and course drip delivery, replacing Brevo (hitting automation/delivery limits). Newsletter stays on Substack.

Scope

1. Loops account setup; verify sending domain.
2. Recreate the 3 course sequences as Loops loops (source markdown already in git: developmentalspaces.org repo learn/courses/ and devspaces-consolidation sources/brevo/markdown/ — 30 emails incl. images).
3. New signup forms/endpoints per course; embed or link on /learn and each course page (replacing the 4 legacy sibforms.com URLs, which stay live until cutover).
4. Add practice-psychology course when ready.
5. Migrate existing Brevo course-list contacts (export from Brevo; mind consent/segments).
6. Decommission Brevo automations after cutover; keep archive export.

Notes

• Courses are now web-canonical (readable at /learn/courses/…); email = optional paced experience, so drip logic can be simple (signup → day 0..N, one/day).
• Manifesto-signing automation (Automate manifesto signing: form → mailing list + auto-published signatory list #34) should target the same Loops list — coordinate.
• Blocked on: Loops account/API key from Rufus. After that, most steps are automatable via Loops API.

Change of direction after discussion: not Loops — requirement is fully automatable, repeatable form→sequence setup, and Loops' builder/forms are UI-only.

Built instead: devspaces-mailer (local repo ~/src/life-itself/devspaces-mailer, push to GitHub pending) — one Cloudflare Worker + Resend:

• signup form endpoint with double opt-in, unsubscribe + List-Unsubscribe compliance, D1 storage
• daily cron drip from the course markdown already in git (site pages stay canonical; npm run sync pulls edits)
• new course = markdown folder + one courses.json entry + deploy — zero UI forever
• all 3 existing courses (27 emails) already bundled and building

Blocked on one-time ~10 min from Rufus (README §setup): Resend account + domain DNS records + API key; Cloudflare auth for wrangler. Then deploy + form embeds on /learn are scripted. Manifesto automation (#34) can ride the same worker.

Live. Worker deployed (devspaces-mailer.lifeitself.workers.dev, Life Itself CF account), D1 + schema, Resend key set, domain mail.developmentalspaces.org verified. End-to-end test: subscribe → confirmation email delivered. Signup forms now live on /learn and all 3 course index pages; every legacy Brevo sibforms link removed from the site (newsletter links → Substack). Remaining: Rufus click-confirm test, GitHub repo creation for the mailer, Brevo subscriber migration, then Brevo automations off.
