Solarpunk Utopia Platform - System Status Report

Generated: 2026-01-09 Test Run: 716 tests total, 631 passing (88.1% pass rate)

Active Orchestrators on VM (europe-west3-a - Renewable Energy Region)

All 4 Phase 3 orchestrators are running every 15 minutes:

Known Issues

  1. Photo Upload Tests: Canvas API not supported in test environment (happy-dom limitation)
  2. Resource Posting Tests: Database mocking strategy needs adjustment
  3. Automerge undefined values: Some tests fail due to Automerge CRDT not accepting undefined (need to use null or delete)
  4. Check-in escalation: Some edge cases in escalation logic need refinement

Phase 3.5: Modular Architecture Refactor

The orchestrators are now aware of the modularization plan (MODULARIZATION_PROPOSAL.md) and will begin extracting modules into NPM workspace packages:

  • Group A: Extract @solarpunk/types and @solarpunk/crypto
  • Group B: Extract @solarpunk/core, @solarpunk/identity, @solarpunk/network
  • Group C: Extract @solarpunk/ui and all feature modules
  • Group D: Configure builds and testing

Immediate Fixes

  1. Fix Photo Upload Tests: Use jsdom instead of happy-dom for Canvas API support
  2. Fix Resource Posting Tests: Use dependency injection for database
  3. Fix Automerge undefined handling: Replace undefined with null throughout

Architecture Improvements

  1. Proceed with modularization: Begin Phase 3.5 to break into NPM workspace packages
  2. Add integration tests: E2E tests with Playwright (config created, blocked by Vite build issues)
  3. Improve build config: Fix @noble/* package resolution in Vite
