From 5bcca4193fbb883c1200c4d5ab19d89c745363d4 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: magic5644 Date: Sat, 27 Jun 2026 19:18:58 +0200 Subject: [PATCH 01/29] feat(webview): add hub score visual indicator to ReactFlow file nodes File nodes now display border thickness proportional to their import count (hub score 0-100, normalized over visible nodes). Four tiers: 2px (<20), 3px (>=20), 4px (>=50), 5px (>=80). High-score nodes also render bold (>=50) and larger font (>=80, non-root only). Priority order preserved: selection > cycle > root > hub score. External dashed borders coexist with hub tiers. React.memo comparator updated to include hubScore to ensure re-renders on score changes. Coverage: FileNode.tsx 97%, buildGraph.ts 96%, 251 tests passing. --- package-lock.json | 231 +++++ package.json | 4 +- src/webview/components/reactflow/FileNode.tsx | 19 +- NodeMetadataBuilder computes hubScore [0-1] from parentCounts in the analyzer layer, making Spider the single source of truth per ADR-F2-01. WikiGenerator reads externalNodeMetadata.hubScore when available, falling back to its DB-computed value. GraphViewService populates nodeMetadata after parentCounts. buildGraph.ts reads nodeMetadata with a fallback to computeHubScores for backward compat when nodeMetadata is absent. MCP types.ts adds GraphNodeMetadataSchema and GraphDataSchema Zod schemas. 477 tests passing, coverage: NodeMetadataBuilder 100%, buildGraph 96%, mcp/types.ts 86%. --- .../ADR-F2-01-hubscore-source-of-truth.md | 57 ++++ src/analyzer/NodeMetadataBuilder.ts | 44 +++ src/analyzer/wiki/WikiGenerator.ts | 14 +- src/extension/services/GraphViewService.ts | 8 +- src/mcp/types.ts | 41 +++ src/shared/graph-types.ts | 15 + src/shared/wiki-types.ts | 7 + .../components/reactflow/buildGraph.ts | 22 +- tests/analyzer/NodeMetadataBuilder.test.ts | 154 ++++++++++ tests/mcp/types.test.ts | 270 ++++++++++++++++++ tests/shared/graph-types.test.ts | 81 ++++++ .../components/reactflow/buildGraph.test.ts | 159 +++++++++++ 12 files changed, 862 insertions(+), 10 deletions(-) create mode 100644 docs/architecture/ADR-F2-01-hubscore-source-of-truth.md create mode 100644 src/analyzer/NodeMetadataBuilder.ts create mode 100644 tests/analyzer/NodeMetadataBuilder.test.ts create mode 100644 tests/shared/graph-types.test.ts diff --git a/docs/architecture/ADR-F2-01-hubscore-source-of-truth.md b/docs/architecture/ADR-F2-01-hubscore-source-of-truth.md new file mode 100644 index 00000000..0f5a7834 --- /dev/null +++ b/docs/architecture/ADR-F2-01-hubscore-source-of-truth.md @@ -0,0 +1,57 @@ +# ADR-F2-01 : Source de vérité hubScore + +## Status + +Proposed + +## Context + +Story F2 ajoute `nodeMetadata?: Record` à `GraphData` (src/shared/graph-types.ts). +`GraphNodeMetadata` inclut `hubScore: number`. + +`parentCounts?: Record` existe déjà dans `GraphData` et est transmis au webview. +F1 (mergée) a implémenté `computeHubScores(visibleNodes, parentCounts)` dans `src/webview/components/reactflow/buildGraph.ts` — normalise sur les noeuds visibles uniquement. +`src/analyzer/wiki/WikiGenerator.ts` calcule déjà un `hubScore` workspace-wide pour les articles wiki. + +Consommateurs qui ont besoin d'un hubScore stable : MCP (`graphitlive_analyze_dependencies` retourne `GraphData` sérialisé), CLI, export HTML F3, community detection F4 (Louvain). + +## Decision + +**Option A retenue : Spider (analyzer layer) est la seule source de vérité pour `hubScore`.** + +Spider calcule `hubScore = parentCounts[file] / max(parentCounts)` normalisé [0-1] sur le workspace entier, lors du full-crawl uniquement (pas de mise à jour incrémentale partielle pour éviter un `maxParentCount` sous-estimé). Le résultat est stocké dans `nodeMetadata` de `GraphData`. + +`computeHubScores` de F1 est remplacé par une lecture directe de `nodeMetadata[path].hubScore` dans `buildGraph.ts`. + +Le calcul `hubScore` de `WikiGenerator.ts` est unifié : WikiGenerator lit `nodeMetadata.hubScore` depuis `GraphData` au lieu de recalculer. + +## Consequences + +**Positives** +- Source unique : un seul endroit à maintenir, cohérence garantie entre MCP, CLI, export HTML (F3) et webview. +- F3 (export HTML) et F4 (Louvain) lisent `nodeMetadata` sans recalcul. +- Conforme Règle 01 : pur Node.js dans l'analyzer, zéro import vscode. +- Suppression de duplication : calcul Wiki absorbé, `computeHubScores` webview supprimé. + +**Negatives** +- Hub local dans un sous-graphe filtré peut afficher un score faible (exemple : noeud central d'un sous-graphe de 10 fichiers sur un workspace de 1000). Accepté : la vue webview gagne en cohérence avec MCP et CLI au détriment de la relativité locale. +- `nodeMetadata` doit etre versionné avant F4 : si Louvain modifie la sémantique de `hubScore`, un champ `hubScoreVersion?: string` ou une migration breaking sera nécessaire. + +**Contrats modifiés** +- `src/shared/graph-types.ts` : ajout `GraphNodeMetadata` + `nodeMetadata?` sur `GraphData`. +- `src/analyzer/Spider.ts` (ou `GraphCrawler`) : calcul `hubScore` sur full-crawl, guard `max === 0 → score = 0`. +- `src/analyzer/wiki/WikiGenerator.ts` : lecture `nodeMetadata.hubScore` au lieu du calcul interne. +- `src/webview/components/reactflow/buildGraph.ts` : suppression `computeHubScores`, lecture `nodeMetadata[path]?.hubScore ?? 0`. +- `src/mcp/` : Zod schema `graphitlive_analyze_dependencies` étendu avec `nodeMetadata` optionnel. + +## Alternatives rejetées + +**Option B — buildGraph.ts (webview) uniquement** : score instable (change à chaque filtre de vue), absent de MCP et CLI. `parentCounts` brut transmis au webview ne suffit pas : MCP consomme `GraphData` sérialisé sans passer par le webview, et F3/F4 opèrent hors bundle webview. + +**Option C — Double calcul (global + local)** : rejetée sur recommandation de Marine. Deux sources sans règle de priorité formelle = comportement indéfini selon le chemin d'exécution (webview vs MCP vs export). Duplication de logique de normalisation dans deux bundles séparés (`dist/extension.js` et `dist/webview.js`) : toute évolution de formule (F4 Louvain) doit être propagée manuellement — risque de régression silencieux. + +--- + +Date : 2026-06-27 +Auteur : Antoine (architecte système) +Review : Marine (devil's advocate) diff --git a/src/analyzer/NodeMetadataBuilder.ts b/src/analyzer/NodeMetadataBuilder.ts new file mode 100644 index 00000000..03b0f577 --- /dev/null +++ b/src/analyzer/NodeMetadataBuilder.ts @@ -0,0 +1,44 @@ +import * as path from 'node:path'; +import type { GraphData, GraphNodeMetadata } from '../shared/graph-types.js'; +import { normalizePath } from '../shared/path.js'; + +/** + * Computes and attaches `nodeMetadata` to a `GraphData` object. + * + * Must be called AFTER `parentCounts` has been populated on `graphData`. + * Does NOT perform any filesystem reads. + * + * hubScore = parentCount / maxParentCount, rounded to 3 decimal places. + * Guard: when maxParentCount === 0, all hubScores are 0. + * + * fileExtension: path.extname(filePath).slice(1).toLowerCase(), omitted if empty. + * loc: not computed here (would require FS read) — absent on all nodes. + * + * CRITICAL ARCHITECTURE RULE: NO import from 'vscode' — pure Node.js only. + */ +export function computeNodeMetadata(graphData: GraphData): void { + const nodes = graphData.nodes; + if (nodes.length === 0) return; + + const parentCounts = graphData.parentCounts ?? {}; + + const maxCount = Math.max( + ...nodes.map((p) => parentCounts[normalizePath(p)] ?? 0), + 1, + ); + + const nodeMetadata: Record = {}; + + for (const filePath of nodes) { + const key = normalizePath(filePath); + const rawCount = parentCounts[key] ?? 0; + const hubScore = Math.round((rawCount / maxCount) * 1000) / 1000; + const ext = path.extname(filePath).slice(1).toLowerCase(); + + const meta: GraphNodeMetadata = { hubScore }; + if (ext) meta.fileExtension = ext; + nodeMetadata[key] = meta; + } + + graphData.nodeMetadata = nodeMetadata; +} diff --git a/src/analyzer/wiki/WikiGenerator.ts b/src/analyzer/wiki/WikiGenerator.ts index 89aea858..8823bf2b 100644 --- a/src/analyzer/wiki/WikiGenerator.ts +++ b/src/analyzer/wiki/WikiGenerator.ts @@ -9,6 +9,7 @@ import type { WikiLink, WikiSymbol, } from "../../shared/wiki-types.js"; +import type { GraphNodeMetadata } from "../../shared/graph-types.js"; import { analyzeControlFlow } from "./ControlFlowAnalyzer.js"; import { buildArchitectureDiagram, @@ -136,15 +137,17 @@ export class WikiGenerator { private readonly topHubsLimit: number; private readonly scope: string | undefined; private readonly exclude: string[] | undefined; + private readonly externalNodeMetadata: Record | undefined; constructor(opts: WikiGeneratorOptions) { - // eslint-disable-next-line @typescript-eslint/no-explicit-any + this.db = opts.db; this.outputDir = opts.outputDir; this.workspaceRoot = opts.workspaceRoot; this.topHubsLimit = opts.topHubsLimit ?? 10; this.scope = opts.scope; this.exclude = opts.exclude; + this.externalNodeMetadata = opts.nodeMetadata; } async generate(): Promise { @@ -154,7 +157,7 @@ export class WikiGenerator { this.exclude, ); - // Build hub score map + // Build hub score map (DB-derived, 0-100 scale) const hubMap = this.buildHubMap(); // Enumerate files — with scope/exclude applied @@ -164,7 +167,12 @@ export class WikiGenerator { // Build all articles (pure, no I/O) const articles: WikiArticle[] = files.map((filePath) => { const normalized = normalizePath(filePath); - const score = hubMap.get(normalized) ?? 0; + // ADR-F2-01: prefer hubScore from GraphData.nodeMetadata when available. + // externalNodeMetadata.hubScore is in [0-1]; scale to 0-100 to match WikiArticle range. + const externalScore = this.externalNodeMetadata?.[normalized]?.hubScore; + const score = externalScore !== undefined + ? Le résultat alimente le colour-coding des noeuds dans le webview ReactFlow, les exports HTML (F3), et les outils MCP. L'algo doit opérer dans `src/analyzer/` (Règle 01 : pur Node.js, NO vscode imports). Le bundle CLI `dist/graph-it.js` pèse actuellement 10.4 MB (WASM sql.js inclus) — toute dépendance npm s'additionne à ce poids via esbuild CJS. + +## Decision + +**Option A retenue : implémentation maison Louvain phase-1 uniquement (~150 lignes TypeScript, zéro dépendance npm).** + +Justification par critère : + +1. **Qualité algorithmique à l'échelle cible.** Louvain phase-1 (optimisation locale de la modularité) converge vers une partition de qualité acceptable sur des graphes < 500 noeuds. La phase-2 (agrégation hiérarchique) apporte un gain marginal à cette échelle — elle devient utile au-delà de ~5 000 noeuds selon la littérature. Les graphes de dépendances TypeScript typiques de Graph-It-Live restent en dessous de ce seuil. + +2. **Impact bundle CLI.** `graphology` dépaqueté = 2.73 MB ; après tree-shaking esbuild le résidu reste estimé à 300-500 KB (graphology expose de nombreux modules non-tree-shakable en CJS). Sur un bundle de 10.4 MB, l'ajout de 400 KB est acceptable en absolu, mais introduit quatre dépendances transitives (`graphology-indices`, `graphology-utils`, `mnemonist`, `pandemonium`) dont la compatibilité CJS/ESM avec esbuild n'est pas vérifiée — risque de conflit de build non justifié pour un gain de qualité nul à < 500 noeuds. + +3. **Déterminisme.** L'implémentation maison utilise un Fisher-Yates shuffle avec seed fixe, garantissant une partition reproductible entre runs. `graphology-communities-louvain` propose `randomWalk: false` mais ne documente pas de seed externe — le déterminisme est un contrat nécessaire pour la stabilité des exports HTML et des réponses MCP. + +4. **Arêtes dirigées.** Louvain maison traite les arêtes dirigées comme non-dirigées (somme in+out pour le calcul de modularité), cohérent avec la sémantique de couplage structurel entre fichiers. graphology-communities-louvain supporte nativement le mode `directed` mais sa modularité dirigée produit des communautés plus fragmentées sur des DAGs d'import — comportement moins lisible pour l'utilisateur final. + +5. **Maintenance.** 150 lignes TypeScript internes, sans surface d'API tierce à maintenir. Aucune montée de version à tracker. + +## Consequences + +**Positives** +- Zéro ajout au bundle CLI et .vsix — Règle 02 inchangée, pas de .map supplémentaire. +- Déterminisme garanti par seed explicite (Fisher-Yates) : exports HTML et réponses MCP stables entre runs. +- Aucune dépendance transitive (graphology-indices, mnemonist, pandemonium) à auditer pour Règle 01 et compatibilité esbuild CJS. +- Implémentation localisée dans `src/analyzer/callgraph/` ou `src/analyzer/communityDetection.ts` — testable unitairement sans mock npm. + +**Negatives** +- Phase-2 absente : sur des workspaces exceptionnellement denses (> 500 noeuds, graphes monorepo), la qualité de partition peut être inférieure à graphology. Accepté : hors du profil cible actuel. +- Code métier à maintenir en interne. Si l'algorithme évolue (Leiden, SBM), la migration sera manuelle. Mitigé : l'interface de sortie (`Map` fileId → communityId) est stable et remplaçable sans impact sur les couches supérieures. +- Risque d'implémentation incorrecte du calcul de modularité (delta Q). Mitigé : tests unitaires obligatoires sur graphes de référence avec partition connue (triangle, bipartite, chaîne). + +**Contrats modifiés** +- `src/shared/graph-types.ts` : ajout `communityId?: number` dans `GraphNodeMetadata` (déjà prévu par ADR-F2-01). +- `src/analyzer/communityDetection.ts` (nouveau fichier) : export `detectCommunities(nodes: string[], edges: [string, string][]): Map` — pur Node.js, NO vscode. +- `src/analyzer/Spider.ts` (ou `GraphCrawler`) : appel `detectCommunities` après full-crawl, résultat écrit dans `nodeMetadata[path].communityId`. +- `src/webview/components/reactflow/buildGraph.ts` : lecture `nodeMetadata[path]?.communityId` pour la couleur de noeud. +- `src/mcp/types.ts` : Zod schema `nodeMetadata` étendu avec `communityId?: number`. + +## Alternatives rejetées + +**Option B — `graphology-communities-louvain` v2.0.2 + `graphology` v0.26.0** : rejetée. Gain de qualité nul à < 500 noeuds. Ajout estimé 300-500 KB au bundle CJS post-esbuild. Quatre dépendances transitives dont la compatibilité CJS/ESM avec esbuild bundler n'est pas vérifiée (risque de build cassé). Déterminisme par seed externe non documenté. Rapport coût/bénéfice défavorable au profil cible. + +**Option C — Algorithme de Leiden (état de l'art post-Louvain)** : rejetée. Aucune implémentation TypeScript mature disponible sans dépendances lourdes. Complexité d'implémentation maison élevée (correction des coupures arbitraires de Louvain).
