Apostrophes removed from contractions

I've got a lot of text with a lot of contractions (like I'd, I've, etc.) and as far as I can tell, ssml-builder removes all of the apostrophes from these so they end up being pronounced by Alexa completely wrong. (I'd -> Id etc.)
Surrounding the text with appropriate tags manually works just fine.
Am I missing something?

@falconvk That's a good catch. I have googled up and looked into the different rules for escaping special characters under different conditions. See this StackOverflow https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1091945/what-characters-do-i-need-to-escape-in-xml-documents

Based on the use cases you have mentioned, it makes sense not to escape single quote, double quote and the greater than sign when it comes to the text. If you want to update the escape function based on the different rules stated in the StackOverflow XML doc, feel free to do a pull request since you found this bug and I'm always looking for new contributors to join this open source project. Please remember to update the unit tests. I want to make sure this problem will go away for good.

Thank you very much for the quick response.
Time is an issue for me at the moment but I would love to contribute as soon as it clears up, if there's still the need for it.
For a quick workaround - we've currently decided to just use the ’ (they look almost identical here) as a replacement for the standard apostrophe, and it seems to be working.

I'm just developing an Google Assistant app for Google Home and running into this issue.
Sentences sounds unnatural without apostrophes.
Hope I can help make a pull request but I don't know how to properly test it.
