Our tile schema is not intended to cover the full content of OSM. It is a compromise between data richness and tile size (other tile schemas like OpenMapTiles are more complete). In order to have performant maps, we have to exclude certain features. The POIs you listed are not the primary focus of our map, which is more on outdoor recreation and tourism.

I understand, but it’s a shame – it would have been a chance to showcase small businesses without having to rely on monsters like Google Maps.

And just for your information, most of these POIs are in OpenFreeMap and do not affect performance.
