Post tags disappear when changing language of a post

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. add new post in one language with a few test post tags
2. publish post
3. edit post
4. change language to something else from the dropdown

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected output: post tags still in place, set to new language when post is 
saved.

Instead: all post tags disappear when clicking the dropdown selector and 
choosing another language

What version of WPML and WordPress are you using? Can you also specify PHP
and MySQL versions?

WPML 2.04, WP 3.0.4, PHP 5.3.0, MySQL 5.1.37
