Description
From Patrick email on 7-7-23:
Here are my suggestions on where we can flag potential issues and follow up to improve our data quality:
-
Invalid NGO Websites:
By doing so, we have the option of examing the NGO directly, rather than relying on NGO monitoring websites. Please note that I have utilized the python validators package (https://validators.readthedocs.io/en/latest/) to validate the URL's format. -
Expired FCRA of NGOs:
Important to ensure we have the most up-to-date information and compliance status. -
Non-functional Email Addresses and Phone Numbers:
We can also flag email addresses and phone numbers that are no longer functional or fail to establish contact with the respective NGOs. -
Sparse Data for NGOs:
Agreed, it would be helpful to note down NGOs with limited data. Hence, we can focus on gathering additional information to make their profiles more comprehensive. -
Text that is not in English (i.e. Mission statement)
Best to understand what is being said.
Instead of a generic flagging system, I propose utilizing a tag system to categorize these errors, allowing for more precise identification and tracking.
Best regards,
Patrick
