Support for autocomplete? #522

Inexperienced AI user here: Does (or will) Foundry Local include support for using models as an autocomplete engine in editors?
The documentation contains some references to /v1/completions (for example here) which I understand to be the standard endpoint for autocomplete. But the project emphasis seems to be on the /v1/chat/completions endpoint which I have seen described as both distinct from - and a replacement for - /v1/completions.
Does the /v1/chat/completions endpoint work for autocomplete as well as chat completions? I have seen conflicting information online.
