Context

An opinionated engineering blog is a proven playbook (Fly.io, CodeSandbox's "how we clone a running VM in 2 seconds"). We can beat them as the open-source option, with reproducible numbers. We already have one post (fork-dont-rebuild); this is the flagship technical deep-dive.

Deliverable

• A post walking through the warm-claim and live CoW fork path, with the reproducible ~27ms and ~3 MiB numbers and links to the bench scripts.
• The fork(2) metaphor as the spine.
