I tried to install these dotfiles on a fresh new arch install it worked before but today i tried it on a fresh new computer and i dont think it works how its supposed to be

Issues im having:
No wallpaper
The waybar doesnt start had to start it manually
the Waybar is broken aka just frozen only the workspace swipe works

anyways all i could do was only launch apps but the waybar and the wallpapers are broken

Elephant says: missing ItemKeybinds object

Heres the screenshot i tried changing themes or something nothing worked is there any fix? Cuz im a noob.

1. Are you launching hyprland as uwsm managed?
2. Can't say more without logs / more info.
3. Elephant had breaking changes today. There's a new release already. You have to update (open menu -> update).

Can you run git status in the dotfiles dir and show the output? You sure you're not on some old
version?

Hello everyone, I have exactly the same problem: when I start the system, it just crashes, even though I installed it manually using Super + Alt + Space. Could it be a startup issue?

For services, as a temporary solution please run:
systemctl --user enable --now waybar.service
systemctl --user enable --now hypridle.service
systemctl --user enable --now hyprpaper.service
systemctl --user enable --now walker.service
systemctl --user enable --now elephant.service
systemctl --user enable --now swayosd.service
systemctl --user enable --now mako.service

This should fix your issues, I need to fix this in automatic installation.

Also if you want dark theme enabled run:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface color-scheme "prefer-dark"

I had the same issues with archinstall, EndeavourOS minimal, Garuda + Hyprland, CachyOS, and I spent several hours trying to fix them. Since I was only enabling the waybar and trying to change the wallpaper, the menus became translucent and broken. I was almost giving up when I thought about posting to ask for help and saw the solution. I'm really excited to finally be able to use it as my daily driver.

Alright - all should be fixed - for automatic setup and also update added for existing installs to ensure all services are running correctly. Walker theme also fixed. Sorry for the mess and thanks for testing!

Please make sure to update by going to menu -> update
