Any pixel errors puts signs in the Fault group

IRIS used to allow a certain number of failed pixels before moving the sign to the "Fault" group.

We'd like to have an option (system attribute or sign config parameter) that would restore some version of this function. This can be by pixel count, by percent, or something TBD.

The state was renamed from "Maintenance" to "Fault", and it now mirrors the shortErrorStatus values. The old (removed) dms_pixel_maint_threshold was not very sophisticated.

We did some work to develop a prototype enhancement that lets signs with a certain amount of stuck pixels show up in multiple groups. You can see the changes in this commit in our repo.

We'll need to update it a little and address how the thresholds are configured since those system attributes were removed, but what do you think about the overall approach?

One other thing to note is that some DMS vendors have a private "badPixelLimit" threshold which disallows activating messages. It's confusing how all these features interact.

What is the main issue with signs being in the Fault state? Maybe we could just change the map icons to be blue (not black) if the sign is Available + Fault.

The web UI now shows pixel errors in the message composer as well, which makes it easier to tell if a message will be legible.

@DougLau You said the badPixelLimit object is a private object. Private to what company and where can I find a clear definition of how it works?

I can guess from the name, but since it can interfere with normal use of a sign, it seems like there must be an explicit definition somewhere of: How it's intended to work. What's the default value. Etc...

It also seems like when using a sign that has that object in an IRIS context, the default value for the object should be zero (or whatever special value they've defined to turn the function off. And turning it off should be part of IRIS's standard sign-setup (set defaults) operation.

It's for LEDSTAR signs, but I don't have a copy of their MIB any more. See the mibledstar directory for a possibly-inaccurate description of that object.

Until recently, IRIS set it to 500 pixels, but ea3c7d3 changed it to 1/4 of the sign's pixels.
