Only lack of time and that I don't know much about the scipy standards or development process. If you or someone else wants to add it you most welcome to do so. I can help a little.

If there's interest, it also wouldn't be too hard to just put choldate on pypi so that it's easier to install and have as a dependency. That might be easier than getting it into scipy.

I support the second idea: get this onto pypi. This would make it easier for other projects to depend on it. But I'm guessing there's not that much interest from others, given that it's almost 4 years since the last comment!

I support this --- it would be great to have choldate on pypi. Agree with markgw that it's a wonderful package.
